ARDF: Amateur Radio Direction finding , the RADIO SPORT.

Indian Institute of Hams (IIH) in association with Dept. of Youth empowerment and sports, Govt. Of Karnataka is conducting the radio sport on Nov17, 2019. The flag off will be at 9.00Am at Kanteerava Stadium. Anybody can participate in this Radio sport and need not be a HAM. On Oct 06, 2019 introduction session was conducted and the Rules and other information were given by VU2FI, Sathyapal, the Game controller. Today, 27th October, Sunday: 2nd mock fox hunt was exercised after briefing the participants at Kanteerava Outdoor Stadium, Bengaluru. There are more than 76 entries and 27 teams right now. Few more participants and teams are expected. Mock fox Mr Manjunath VU3CJM sent a tone at every third minute for 60 seconds on 145.000 mhz from Cubbon park, near to City Central Library. It was walking foxhunt for 1 to 2 kms. Hunters were able to trace the signals.
IIH is conducting the Radio Sport, and demos with Mock Fox hunt to educate and get experienced by the New HAMs, and SWLs. This is one of its objectives, to promote the amateur radio.
All set for flag off by Hon'ble Commissioner of Youth Empowerment and Sports - Fox hunt in association with DYS, Government of Karnataka, Reva University, Indian Public school and other institutions on Sunday, 17th November 2019.
